Renovation with a theme

Industrial theme designs
So the project begins!
How do you start your renovation project?
1) When something is damaged?
2) Festive season is around the corner?
3) Injecting a new life into your living area? Perhaps an industrial theme home?
4) You just got a big fat paycheck?

Regardless the reason, its usually revolves around these two goals, a place where you look forward to returning after a exhausting day at work, and/or a place where we feel safe and comfortable. Problem is, most home owners doesn't have a background in Creative or Design, let alone Architecture or Interior Design. Hence we usually have recommended Interior Designers to take over these part, but where or how do we start the search? Simple online media such as Renotalk will be a good place to start, if you prefer a more traditional approach, you may check with your friends and family.

Engage as many IDs as you like and it is recommended to prepare an Interior Designer selection checklist. This is to ensure you always know what you should look out for when choosing the right interior designer, an example of the checklist:

  • Pricing
  • Compatibility/Friendliness
  • Attentiveness (how detailed)
  • Shares similar taste
  • Responsiveness
  • And the list goes on.

Whether you choose to engage a professional or decide to go creative on your own, stay tuned to our next post. It'll be mainly about inspiration, and its something you should have prepared before any real talks begin.

May your home be the most popular design home in Singapore, Asia, and the WORLD!

Handle with care

Laminate flooring is one of the most cost efficient way to have the best of all world. That being said, simple takes can be taken to ensure its quality and longevity remains at its best.

Step 1, dry mop. Never use too much water when mopping laminate flooring, tiny water particles will seep into the locking and ultimately resulting in Water Damage. Best option would be to use fibre mop.

Step 2, Handle with Care. Accidents happen, when your drinks are spilled onto the floor, quickly dry it off, especially the seams, if you do it fast enough, congratulation, you just saved your flooring. However, if water damage does occurs, make sure no one touches the affected part and try to leave it alone for sometime (anywhere between 1 week to 3 months++), the damage will not be obvious, but it is still there. In case of heavy damage, a replacement is adviceable, contact your contractor or ID to rectify this, or just call us.

Step 3, Let it Shine! Though most don't do this, but you could consider it during your next Big House Keeping. Waxing the floor will rejuvenate its life, giving it the shine it lost overtime, and coating it to serve you longer.

There are many more steps, but we don't wanna waste your time anymore, so remember the above 3 steps:
1) Dry Mop
2) Hande with Care
3) Let it Shine

A simple budget project

Lets take sports for example, most of us knows that the key to excel in a certain sport is to work on the fundamentals, the basic! And well, the basics to a renovation will undoubtedly be the flooring.

Well, when you are thinking of renewing the L. I. F. E. of your living quarters, the best way is to give the good old flooring a change. A whole new basics to pave way for the infinite potential to come.

A recent customer of ours wanted a new twist to her apartment, so she engaged us in assisting her in the very first step of her independant project.

Project Yoga

Have you ever done yoga, not in a cool comfy room? Well this style of yoga has been around for awhile now and its 'Hot', *pun intended*.

One of our recent completed projects was for Lava Yoga Studio. Though the typical choice of flooring for this variation of Yoga should be vinyl for its waterproof factor, but why not have something better, which is also waterproof and more comfortable for the users?

Check out the pic below, our specialist was working around-the-clock to ensure quality installation and on-time completion. In under 10 hours, we have completed over 1,000sf and ensured a smooth and steamy class ahead!!

Sharing is Caring 😄

Anyone anywhere can share anything anyhow. But how accurate, how relevant, how useful the information is to me, to you, to everyone?

Is the shared info biased? Is it meant mainly to profit a certain individuals or company? Should it be trusted, if yes, how much?

This blog was created as a platform to share with people based on what we know, based on what we do, based on what you need. But whether are you our customers, competitor etc, we don't really mind, what we wish for is a fair and honest market place.

Even if you decide to purchase from others, we wish you to use our tips in your purchase, even being able to assist you is our pleasure.

And in case you find something wrong or needs to be highlighted, kindly inform our admin by leaving a comment. Thank you very much for the support and feedbacks.

Life's constraint, why Laminate, Vinyl and/or tiles

Sometimes in life we rush through things, most of the time its due to time constraints, but with our current lifestyle and career, monetary or simply put, budget is the main agenda.

We all want the best of the best, the problem is are we able to afford it? Time and time again we have to sacrifice bits and pieces in order to make do with our already tight budget. However, sometimes its the nuts and bolts, the basic groundwork, the fundamental which is sacrificed.

My question to you is, are you willing to repave your floor 3 years later? Some might be renovating their homes with the sole purpose of renting it out, while others intend to live a huge chunk of their lives in that place, a place they would call home sweet home. Regardless the purpose, flooring job is the fundamental of a home sweet home.

Why not tiles? It last twice as long, durable and affordable. My answer is RHEUMATISM.

Why not Vinyl? Its definitely more durable and cheap! My answer, why use something made for commercial use at home? Tried walking on vinyl then laminate in a stride? Or better yet, try sitting or just stand on each for 5 minutes, just try this simple experiment and you'll know why its meant for commercial.

A lot people are asking why still Laminate? It last 3-5 years and troublesome to maintain. My answer, thats because of what you are paying for, cheap things not good and good things not cheap. Just pay a little more (5-10%) and you'll be able to enjoy our double laminate technology. If you have the future in mind, you can try our waterproof laminate flooring, it is not Vinyl, but a real waterproof and termite-proof laminate flooring. No more worries on spills and mops, no more pesky termite headaches, best of all, no more fear of inferior quality product.

These are just some points to ponder, how should we utilize a budget properly and efficiently. The key to victory lies in its basics.

Quality of Laminate Flooring

As per title, we will be looking into the quality of laminate flooring in recent years, but before that lets just backtrack a little more and look into its beginning:

A standard laminate flooring breakdown.

Laminate flooring was first founded in 1977 by a Swedish company Perstorp which was already in the flooring business since 1923. It was later introduced into Europe (1984) and United States (1994). Locking base (current version) laminate was given birth to in 1996 by another Swedish company Välinge Aluminium, however in 1997 a Belgian manufacturer Unilin also brought in a similar technology. Most innovations that can be found in the market today are more or less base on these two great innovators.

As the years pass by, more and more players entered into this market, in order to gain market share, practically everyone went into a price war. In order to maximize profit, cost is being pushed down. As the years passed, there are still players who wish to have a piece of this pie, but with a saturated market, most has turned into driving the already low cost to a whole new level, with this practice, QUALITY has finally been compromised.

The internet has always served as a medium to help netizen to be savvy in all things, especially purchase. The saying, 'Cheap things aren't good, Good things aren't cheap' is still true to a certain point, but with the help of the online community, we could identify what are the range of good things, and what are the range of cheap things.

I'm a supplier of LAMINATE FLOORING in SINGAPORE, however I'm not going to openly advertise my product here, YET. Suffice to say, my product is not cheap, if you are looking for an affordable laminate flooring, we are slightly above the market price, but that is not the bread and butter of our product lineup, our product lineup are solution centric, we even have a waterproof laminate flooring, it is not Vinyl, it is indeed a real waterproof laminate.
